Awful. I can't imagine an intelligent person with this name. It's really a shame because a child doesn't get to choose their own name, they are saddled with it by a parent. I'm a firm believer that people treat a person by their impressions of a name and that's why people with the same name are somewhat alike. I know two Skyler's, both of them live in the sticks, are covered in tattoos and define their worth through what truck they drive.

I can see it on any gender, but my opinion on it is the same regardless of the gender of the person who has it: it is a very youthful, immature, tacky sounding name that I do not care for much. I see a Skyler as being a baby, a kid, a teen.... but not an adult, and especially not an adult woman. That being said, it is kind of ugly-cute if you stare at it long enough.

Call me crazy, but I don't see Skyler as being a feminine name at all. It comes from a word meaning "scholar" which is usually associated with males. The name itself kinda sounds cheesy and weird and I find it to be a really trendy and terrible name, so not my cup of tea personally.

I like this as a masculine name. I tend to like unisex names on boys, so saying that isn't saying that it's terrible on girls. It works fine. If you are looking for a perfectly unisex name, you should definitely consider Skyler.

I absolutely love my name and would not change it for the world. When people ask me what my name is I usually get a response saying that it's a beautiful name and it makes me even more confident in my name. I am a girl and actually find this name perfect because it's coed. This makes the name Skyler become the perfect balance of beautiful and strong. As for the spelling, I'm a little biased, not just because that is how I spell my name, but also because the name Tyler for example, is spelled almost the exact same way but I have never heard of a Tylar. I just personally don't think it fits.
